It’ll be a bit quiet on the blogging front for the next fortnight, as I’m heading off on holiday. As you might expect though, I won’t be lazing on a beach somewhere. I’m going on a
Swimtrek holiday, where you swim from island to island, hike to the next departure point and then plop back in the water for the next phase of the journey. At night, you camp in the wild. Swimtrek offers a number of exotic locations (the shot is of me on the Sardinian Swimtrek last year), but this time, I’m going to be island-hopping in, er, the Scottish Hebrides. The weather forecast isn’t looking promising but, as I like to tell my running groups, there’s no such thing as adverse weather, only inappropriate clothing. That’s why I’m packing a wetsuit, thermal rash vest and neoprene hat. Full report on my return!
