I’m excited to announce my first running camp – Running Well with Sam Murphy – a week-long running holiday taking place in the stunning French Alps from June 8th to 14th 2013 organised by Adventures in the Alps. As well as providing the opportunity for some really focused training, you’ll also get to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and food of the local area – and have some fun (it is a holiday, after all!)
There will be a strong focus on running form during the week, and we’ll be learning about – and putting into practice – many different types of training sessions (in spectacular surroundings) as well as showing you how to fit them into your schedule back home. We’ll also look at nutrition, hydration, injury prevention and recovery. Runners of all abilities are welcome – as long as you can run 10km, even if it’s slowly, then you’ll be fine! The camp will be co-coached by Jeff Pyrah, my husband, co-director of The Emperor’s New Shoes Ltd and a 2.29 marathoner.
You can find out more about the camp by clicking here – and there are some great pics of the chalet where we will be based on the facebook page here . If you have specific questions related to the running element of the camp, please feel free to email or ask us – but if you have questions about availability/booking or about the accommodation/food/travel arrangements, please contact Adventures in the Alps direct.
